Connect your FedEx agreement

Here you get 2 keys from FedEx and add them in fragtr together with your FedEx account number.

What you need

✅ A FedEx business account (a 9-digit account number)
✅ A fedex.com login
✅ A little patience – FedEx must approve you for live shipments
Important: FedEx only issues keys for live shipments once your project has been approved by FedEx (they call this validation, and it may require you to send test labels to FedEx). You get the test keys right away – use them to try fragtr with Test environment enabled.

Part 1 – Get the keys from FedEx

1
Go to developer.fedex.com and log in with your fedex.com login.
2
Go to My Projects and create a new API project.
3
Select these APIs: Rate, Ship and Track. Name the project fragtr and link your FedEx account to it.
4
You now see your API Key and Secret Key for the test environment. Copy both.
5
When you want to send live shipments: click production in the project and complete FedEx's validation. Afterwards you get a new set of API Key and Secret Key for production.
The Secret Key is like a password. Never send it by email – only enter it in fragtr. FedEx sometimes renames its menus – if you can't find an item, write to us.

Part 2 – Add the keys in fragtr

1
Log in to fragtr.dk and go to Backend → Carriers in the menu on the left.
2
Click + Connect carrier and select FedEx.
3
Enter the API Key, Secret Key and your FedEx account number. If you use the test keys, tick Test environment.
4
Click Connect FedEx. We test the keys with FedEx right away.
Done! 🎉 Run a price check. FedEx prices are labelled “Own agreement” – these are your own FedEx prices.

If it doesn't work

Error messageWhat to do
“FedEx rejected the API Key or Secret Key”Copy both keys again from the project. Also check that test keys are used with Test environment enabled – and production keys without it.
“The FedEx account number has 9 digits”Check the account number on your FedEx invoice.
An error about Rate or ShipOpen the project on developer.fedex.com and check that Rate, Ship and Track are selected and that your account is linked to the project.
No FedEx prices in the price checkCheck under Backend → Carriers that the connection is Active. FedEx only shows prices in Danish kroner – if your account uses another currency, contact us.
